Dunragit Community News

The benches and community noticeboard are now in place at the new Dunragit Community Hub. Beech borders and a whitebeam tree have been planted and other landscaping touches completed, including stone edging and chip laid down to enhance the building’s surrounds. We look forward to seeing everything green up and get busy over the coming months. 

24 willing community volunteers and a few four legged friends turned out in the village in April for Spring Clean Scotland, helping to Keep Scotland Beautiful. In just a few hours, the intrepid band of ‘Dunragit Wombles’ collected over 20 bags of litter before enjoying a well earned, refreshing cuppa at the Hub afterwards. What a fantastic effort and a big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day.

The Dunragit community are delighted with their new facility and are very keen to get busy and see things buzzing. A new volunteer Management Committee has been formed and several volunteer and local family welcome afternoons have been well attended and appreciated.
