Old Luce Photography Competition

Oct 23, 2023

Old Luce residents have been getting snap-happy in the lead up to Christmas, capturing their favourite images of the parish for a chance to win a prize in the Old Luce Development Trust photography competition. A gift-voucher prize across three separate age categories was up for grabs, offering a welcome pre-Christmas shopping treat.

All images were carefully considered by competition judge and local photography enthusiast Rev. Stephen Ogston, taking into account composition, perspective and various themes representing the Old Luce parish.

Photography entries ranged from local wildlife, landscapes and nature to people, pets, activities and events across Old Luce.

The final three category winners were congratulated and presented with their gift-vouchers and award certificates at the Glenluce Public Hall recently, as follows:

Primary School – Rose Dunlop (‘Glenluce Abbey’)

Secondary School – Logan McKie (‘Glenluce Vintage Tractor Run’)

Open/Adult – Mark Murkowski (‘Luce Bay View Low Tide’)

The Trust would like to thank all Old Luce residents who entered the competition. Photos submitted will feature in future Trust publications such as the website, newsletters, annual reports and grant applications.
