Hall Keepers – Bank Cover
£10.90 per hour
Old Luce Development Trust is looking for Hall Keepers for Glenluce Public Hall. We are looking for one or more bank staff to cover ad hoc absence of the regular Hall Keepers.
Hall Keepers are responsible for taking bookings for the hall, opening and closing the hall and public toilets, maintaining the security of the hall, basic hall maintenance and identifying wider maintenance and improvements needed.
You will have a polite manner in dealing with customers and coworkers, the ability to keep the hall in good order, to learn to use app and web-based systems and to safely set out hall furniture and equipment.
Hours will vary according to bookings, but are unlikely to be more than 4 hours per week across all Hall Keeper posts. However, the public toilets will need to be opened around 8am each morning and locked in the evening on days when cleaning contractors are not present.
The hall takes bookings from early morning until late at night, so ability to cover all hours will be required for the weekend post. Most bookings take place between 8am and 10pm, though there are occasional bookings outside these times. Applicants who can only cover part of the day, for example, only evenings or only specific days will be considered for the bank staff role. Bank work will be infrequent.
Applications can be made by sending an application letter to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Glenluce Public Hall, 22 Main Street, Glenluce. Your application letter should give a brief employment history, demonstrate how you meet the person specification detailed in the job description and provide details of two referees.
